THE ZOO.

'I never expected to make as many Animals as we did over the years, I was essentially a 'make up fx artist' and didn't consider animal production as a part of the job. The first animal I was involved with (just as a lowly mold maker) was a Bear for a commercial back in 1990, a couple of years later courted and landed a project that involved creating a talking Orangutan, Seal, Toucan, Alligator, Tiger and Polar Bear  and after that experience I had a good understanding of what is easy and what is hard with animals, what works and what does not. By the time I got to LA I was a shop owner who would basically take any work that presented itself and luckily with Mike Regan on my crew (a brilliant sculptor/fabricator and mechanic) we were able to 'take on' pretty much any animal that was needed with 95% amazing results, here are some of the 'menagerie' we created over the years'.
